I was born in Hong Kong SAR, raised in Shanghai, and read law at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. I first joined Linklaters as a vacation scheme student and am now a Trainee with the firm.

The single most important thing Linklaters has to offer is its culture. Especially at the beginning of our careers – to have experienced seniors willing to teach, and talented peers who are like[1]minded in their ambition to excel – Linklaters’ investment in our people is the reason why the firm is so attractive to junior lawyers who are eager to learn and grow.

There is also an indescribable pleasure in being part of a team that always has each other’s backs, is genuinely passionate about their work, and does exciting market-leading work to boot. No man (or lawyer) is an island, and we always work together to deliver the best service for our clients.

Another advantage to starting your career at Linklaters is the breadth of exposure the firm has to offer. On my training contract so far, I have already had the opportunity to dip my toes in a variety of work, from the financing of offshore windfarms to issuing bonds on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. There is no better way to develop a comprehensive skillset and a holistic perspective than to experience different areas of practice.
