I joined Linklaters after completing a Master of Law degree at Lund University, including an exchange semester in London at the University of Westminster. On the training programme from 2016 to 2017, I took 'seats' (placements) in Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate and Banking & Finance.

One of my most memorable moments was meeting colleagues from around the world at my first banking foundation course in London, and putting faces to the people I work with on transactions. What I love the most about working at Linklaters is the people. People here are friendly, social and very supportive. I have never at any stage in the last eighteen months felt that there has been somebody that I couldn’t go to, or that I’ve been left alone in a difficult situation. It really is an open-door culture. Having that ever-present support really sums up Linklaters. Our team is made up of friendly, helpful and intelligent people. It's not about fitting a stereotype; everyone is different and that contributes to great team spirit.

The variety of my everyday tasks is incredible. Linklaters is a fully integrated international law firm that combines the benefits of being a small local office with the advantages of being part of a large worldwide network. You aren’t just working with Sweden-based clients, but with people and clients across Europe and the globe. And one of the things I believe makes Linklaters unique is the opportunity for secondments. There are many opportunities to work abroad for six months.

Pro bono work is also encouraged and supported. For example, we were involved in the 'Women, Business and Law Report' organised by the World Bank. Compiled with legal input from over 170 jurisdictions, the report will be used in discussions to help improve financial opportunities for women.
