Our opportunities

Linklaters Warsaw Office

Linklaters in Warsaw is one of the largest law firms on the Polish market. We have advised on some of the most significant transactions in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). With nine partners and over 80 Polish and international legal professionals, we are able to field integrated teams that cross product, practice and jurisdictional lines seamlessly.

Linklaters has consistently been ranked at the top of the list of international law firms present in Poland by independent reviewers, including Chambers Global and Legal 500 EMEA. This reach means that we are uniquely placed to meet our clients’ needs on all aspects of cross-border advisory and transactional matters across the region. Clients benefit from a wealth of experience in countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey and many others.

In jurisdictions where we do not have a Linklaters office or official affiliation with a local firm, we maintain close relationships with the local law firms. This ensures that our clients receive the best international and local advice at every stage of the transaction.

Our areas of specialisation include: Corporate/M&A, Private Equity, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Dispute Resolution, Antitrust and Foreign Investment, Energy and Infrastructure, Employment, TMT/IP, Tax.

Legal internships

Join us as a legal intern and you’ll gain an authentic insight into the everyday working life of a commercial lawyer and the functioning of a global firm. We use our internship programme to attract upcoming talent and to give our lawyers the opportunity to get to know potential future colleagues.

Who is it for?

Aimed at law students in their final years of university in Poland or recent graduates from a Polish law faculty, the programme consists of a year-long training contract (following a three-month probation). At the end of the internship, the best interns are offered permanent positions as junior associates.

Linklaters helps interns achieve their ambitions by providing an outstanding environment in which to succeed. We’ll try to match you to a department that aligns with your interests. To find more about Warsaw practice groups, please visit Warsaw office website.

What’s on offer?

All interns are offered ongoing coaching. You will be assigned a ‘principal’ – an associate who will act as your mentor and support you during your time at Linklaters.

Our internship programme is paid: you will be remunerated for your work and receive a tailored intern benefits package. We also pay attention to your health and wellbeing, so you will enjoy benefits such as free yoga classes, delivery of fresh fruit, free-to-borrow Linklaters bikes and bike parking (if you want to cycle to work) as well as flexible working hours.

Whichever area you join, you can expect to work alongside experienced lawyers who are highly regarded by the market, meaning you benefit from high-quality mentoring and an exceptional level of support.

How to apply

We welcome your application for a legal internship.

Before putting fingers to keyboard, make sure you’re clear in your own mind about your reasons for applying. Why have you chosen Linklaters? Why do you want to become a commercial lawyer? What is it that excites you about our work?

We want to know all about your skills and experience. Use examples from university and work that highlight these. Explain how you contributed personally, and the impact you had.

Please send your CV with a covering letter to our HR Manager, Ms Agnieszka Reinstein - click here.
